Founded in the year 1903 as the auxiliary Manual Training Normal School, the university has grown to become a reputable higher institution in Pittsburg, Kansas USA. The Gorilla international scholarship is available for new international students (freshman, transfer and graduate) applying to PSU for the first time and will be awarded up to the maximum amount listed in award breakdown (below) based on the following:

- Scholarly Activities
- Professional Experiences
- GRE/GMAT Scores
- TOEFL/IELTS/PTE English Proficiency Score
- Need
- The applicants must have admission to a degree program
Note the following are not eligible:
Exchange students, government/employer sponsored students, students receiving tuition waivers such as graduate assistantships or legacy tuition waivers, online programs, students in special short-term, non-degree programs, Intensive English Program, and other tuition waivers.
