DISTINGUISHED GRADUATE SCHOLAR

  • Amount: Total two years – up to $6,000 ($3,000 per year)
  • Priority Deadline: Nov. 1 (Spring) May 31 (Fall)
  • Qualifications:  3.50 or higher Bachelor’s Degree cumulative GPA
  • Renewal: 3.25 GPA or higher, full time student enrollment at UCO is required
  • No application required
  • Scholarship credits will be credited from the 2nd to 4th semester.

GRADUATE MERIT GLOBAL SCHOLAR

  • Amount: Total four years: Total  two years – up to $4,000 ($2,000 per year)
  • Priority Deadline: Nov. 1 (Spring) May 31 (Fall)
  • Qualifications: Minimum 3.25 or higher Bachelor’s Degree cumulative GPA
  • Renewal: 3.00 GPA or higher, full time student enrollment at UCO is required
  • No application required
  • Scholarship credits will be credited from the 2nd to 4th semester.

UNIVERSITY GRADUATE SCHOLAR

  • Amount: Total two years – up to $2,000 ($1,000 per year)
  • Priority Deadline: Nov. 1 (Spring) May 31 (Fall)
  • Qualifications: Minimum 3.00 or higher Bachelor’s Degree cumulative GPA
  • Renewal: 3.00 GPA or higher, full time student enrollment at UCO is required
  • No application required
  • Scholarship credits will be credited from the 2nd to 4th semester

LEGACY NON-RESIDENT WAIVER

  • Amount: Up to 12 credit hours of nonresident tuition per fall/spring semester
  • Priority Deadline: Ongoing
  • Qualifications: Student whose parent or grandparent graduated from UCO or Central State University.
  • Non-stackable with the other Global Scholar or Award Scholarships
  • Students previously awarded for Bachelor’s degree will no longer be eligible

Eligibility

  1. All nationalities can apply
  2. Eligible Course: Graduate degree program in any subject offered by the university
  3. Applicants must have a minimum 3.00 or higher Bachelor’s Degree cumulative GPA
  4. Must be an international student

Supporting Documents: 

The students are required to present the following documents to the university:

  1. Official Transcripts from the academic institution where you obtained you undergraduate degree
  2. Proof of Graduation, that is your certification of graduation in the field of study
  3. Financial Support Documentation
  4. A bank statement
  5. An international Passport

The Scholarship Application Process

The process of applying for a scholarship at University of Central Oklahoma is open and easy to navigate. All you need to do is apply for a graduate program in the institution and you will be automatically be considered for the scholarship.

Language Requirements

If English language is not your native language, you will need to submit one of the following:

  1. TOEFL – 79 IBT (internet-based test) or 550 PBT (paper-based test); or
  2. IELTS – 6.5 overall bands; or
  3. Proof of 12 weeks of intensive English study at an approved ESL program in the U.S. after achieving a minimum TOEFL score of 500 (PBT) or 61 (IBT) or minimum IELTS overall band of 6.0
